▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ BBS SUPPORT ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
TLD supports the following caller info files and BBS types:
* CALLINFO.BBS WildCat!, Genesis
* DOOR.SYS Telegard, WildCat! 3.x, Force!, New PCBoard, Gap
* DORINFOx.DEF QuickBBS, Remote Access, SuperBBS, RBBS
* CHAIN.TXT WWIV
* PCBOARD.SYS PCBoard 14.x (Tested with Door Master v4.03)
SFDOORS.DAT Spitfire
INFO.BBS Phoenix
The files marked with an * have been tested with the Telegard BBS Package
Version 2.5q and have been found to work flawlessly. The files which have
not been tested are supposed to work according to the documentation for the
communications libraries used (Easy Door v2.0b). If you have a problem
with an untested file, first try running it with a tested one then contact
me if it still doesn't work. Anyone running the door using one of the
untested files is urged to contact me so I can include it as tested here.

▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ LICENSING ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
This program *REQUIRES* a key to run. If you did not receive a key
(TLD.KEY) in the archive, or if the key you received has expired or has
been tampered with please read the section entitled Obtaining Keys.
The three types of keys available are as follows:
DEMO KEY: Demo keys are provided in accordance with the
Shareware concept of program distribution. They will enable the
program to run for a period of at least 30 days. When the key
expires, the program will cease to function completely. In order
to continue using the program beyond that point, you must
register. See REGISTER.DOC for details.
REGISTERED KEY: Upon registering the program you will receive
one of these. There are two main differences between the
registered key and the demo key. One, the registered key has no
expiration date and will work with all future versions of the
program as well. Therefore, there is no need to re-register
every time you upgrade to a newer version of the program.
Secondly, the registered key will contain your name. This will
be displayed every time the program is started.
BETA KEY: A beta key is a hybrid between a registered key and a
demo key. Since a beta release is intended to be temporary,
pending the release of a standard version, a beta key, like a
demo key, has an expiration date. However, since beta releases
are intended to be used only by those who have been granted the
permission to test new versions of the product, a beta key will
also contain the name of the person to whom the beta release has
been issued. This name will appear every time the program is
started followed by ", Beta Tester".
SPECIAL NOTE: Both beta keys and registered keys are nontransferable. In
other words, they entitle you, and only you, to use TLD on a single BBS
System. Therefore, it is in your best interest to protect these key and
make sure they are not copied or given to others. In the event that a
registered or beta copy of the program is found to be running on another
system, both the person running the program and the person in whose name
the program is registered will be subject to legal action.
Upon registration, you do not become owner of the software. I the author
retain all rights to the software, copies of the software, and other
related materials. All rights not specifically granted in this license are
reserved by the author.
Failure to comply with this license can and will result in suspension and
removal of your registration without refund and may result in legal action.
▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ COPYRIGHT ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
The Labyrinth Door game is distributed under the SHAREWARE concept. Under
this concept you may use the unregistered evaluation version for a
reasonable time period, which is normally until the demo key expires.
After this time, you must either register your copy or discontinue usage.
One and only one demo key will be allowed per BBS system.
▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ OBTAINING DEMO KEYS ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
There are three methods for obtaining a demo key.
First, you can download a demo key from:
The Bumpkinland BBS
Home of The Labyrinth Door
Phone: (314) 686-1687
24 Hours 2400 (soon to be 9600 V.32)
Simply logon to the system with the User Name TLD and the password LABY or
as a NEW user. If you log on as TLD you will be given extremely limited
access to the system. Just enough to allow you to download the newest
version of the program and/or a 30-day demo key. If you logon as a new
user you will have to complete the new user information but you will be
granted normal access to the system.
Secondly, if you are a FidoNet member, you can File Request a key at the
address: 1:14/613
The keys are approximately 50 bytes and you can request on using the magic
name TLDKEY. You may also F'req the current version of the game by using
the magic name TLD. When F'reqing the current version using the magic
name, the file you receive will be in the ARJ archive format. Therefore,
if you cannot support this format, you can either F'req the magic name ARJ
(the complete ARJ package) along with the game, or, F'req TLDZIP or TLDLZH
depending on what format you can support.
Lastly, if you do not wish to use either of the above methods, you can fill
out the accompanying REGISTER.FRM, check [ ] Demo Version ONLY, enclose
$5.00 to cover the cost of the disk, postage, and handling, and mail it to:
Jerry Aldrich II
2350 S. Broadway
Poplar Bluff, MO 63901
Within 24 hours of receiving your check I will put the latest versions of
all my games along with demo keys on a disk and mail it to you. You *can*
run the programs in local mode without using a BBS.
If you decide to register the game, you must do so by doing the above
procedure but you can exclude the $5.00.

programs that shipment of the newest version of the program along with a
registered key will be made a quickly as possible. Also, I would like to

edit the sample config file to reflect your info <Detailed Later>, then
invoke the program from a bat file as follows:
CD C:\<Path to Door>
TLD TLD.CFG
CD C:\<Path to BBS>
<Restart your system>
For Multi-Node systems, simply create a seperate batch file for each node
detailing where to find the caller info file. Then all the program with

▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ NOTES OF INTEREST ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
This game does not require any monitoring program for dropped carrier, it
automatically detects this and exits back to the BBS.
This door DOES NOT require any runtime modules to run. It is run as is
without any aid from outside utilities.
In the event of an error, the program has built in error handling routines
which should prevent it from locking the system up. It should log the
error and then exit normally.
▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ UPDATE INFORMATION ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒
The newest version of any of my programs can be obtained by calling The
Bumpkinland BBS and downloading, by File Requesting using the magic name
